Lets twist again, like we did last Music Camp

The buses arrived and second by second it became pretty clear the week at Mazowe would be simply amazing. The theme of the camp was “Endless Praise”.

During the camp itself, the groups were split into four brass bands and one songsters group here is a link to some videos of these groups in action. The bands catered for all levels of competence and this was what made the experience so rich. By the time the camp ended, the harmonies that came out of the different groups made it easy to understand why God loves it when we worship, the music was beautiful and to be a part of something so great was just nothing short of amazing. Just the thought is enough to make the excitement for the next camp sky rocket.

Each day a blessing

Our mornings started with a good breakfast to make sure we had enough energy for the activity filled days. The first sessions consisted of the different groups practicing individually before breaking for lunch. After this was the afternoon session before breaking for dinner. In-between the activities during the breaks there was enough time to have a good laugh and play some games. After dinner was the campwide session that saw the group coming together and getting to know more about each others cultures. One evening was even a talent show.

This Video shows some of the many highlights of the 2013 Music Camp.

The 3 best things:

  1. Good Music: it’s one thing to listen to music but its another altogether to be part of the making of good music. Missing out on such an opportunity is just not recommended.
  2. Good Food: good music and a happy mood comes from a full stomach. The excellent catering team made sure we didn’t miss out on that.
  3. Good Company: different countries, different cultures connected through music and faith. No wonder we had a blast!

By the end of it all we asked ourselves if there was anything better than when the children of God came together to worship him through music. We decided that it was so good and definitely worth repeating so prepare yourselves for another musical experience that will see the combination of South Africa, Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Switzerland, USA and Ireland. Let’s twist again like we did last music camp! See you this coming Sunday!
